1st grade!

Here is Kiera in 1st grade! Wow, time flies! Kiera loves school. Although we have some troubles with homework and reading, she absolutely loves it. Her teacher this year is so awesome. Kiera and I were fighting the morning of school pictures because I wanted her to wear a cute dress I bought from the gap, but no she said it didn't "twirl" enough, so this was my second choice. Oh and I let her take some lip gloss. Girls love that stuff. Kiera is about to lose her 1st tooth. She can't wait for it to fall out and see what the tooth fairy brings for her. Kiera is definitely the bigger drama queen of the two girls. Anyway, isn't she so cute!

Easter fun!

On Easter morning the girls had a egg hunt in the backyard at our house. They had so much fun! They were so excited for the Easter Bunny. Grandpa Padilla shared easter morning with us. The girls got skirts, pet shop, a movie and a wii game in their baskets. They found money, chapstick and candy in the eggs. Then we headed over to Oma and Opa's house for brunch. Next, we stopped at the hospital so the girls could see grandma Padilla. It was nice cause that was the first time they have been able to see her since her stroke. We ended the day at the gun club with my aunt for dinner. It was a great day!
On Saturday before Easter we went over to my brother and sister-in-laws house for a egg hunt and lunch. The kids made out with so many eggs! This is Kiera checked out her basket.
Abby wanting me to help her open all of her eggs.
This is all the cousins on my side of the family. They range from 8 years to 3 years old. With baby Dawson on the way! He is due in August. (my sister-in-law is pregnant).

So this past weekend I went and did new pictures on the girls. I also did some pics of a friend of mine. Her girls are so adorable! My girls didn't take very good pics, especially Abby. OMG! Trying to get her to look at the camera is next to impossible and she is always a goof ball.  It was fun, but a little chilly. Photography is my favorite things to do. I love to take pics! I am thinking of starting my own little business and building a studio in my basement. However, to apply for a business license I have to have a name for my business. I have no idea! Anybody who has ideas please share with me!

Notice how Abby will not look at the camera! So stubborn. Kiera has some weird smirk on her face. I guess I need to do more bribing with my girls!

Kiera. She is actually smiling cute! She usually smiles too cheesy or she looks mad, but this one turned out well.
Abby. This is one of my favorites of her! (Notice the short haircut! It is growing, though)
This pic is my favorite! She is so cute!
She was so sick this day. I felt so bad for her. Most of her pictures you could tell she didn't feel good, but this one is good. adorable
Look at those eyes! So cute!

Mardi gras party!

On friday the 13th we went to a Mardi gras party! It was so fun! Kam's brother and his wife have the same birthday. March 13th. This year they did a mardi gras theme. It was so fun to see all the different masks and costumes. Kam and I didn't really dress up and we forgot to get masks, so someone donated some to us. Good times!

Kam and I drinking beer

Clint, John and Kam posing with their mouths wide open. I don't really know why. But I do know they were having a good time!

No not again!

So I told everyone how Abby likes to play beauty shop. Well after the red comb fiasco, she got a pair of scissors and gave herself a haircut! About 6 months ago, Abby got a haircut from her cousin (Kaidon Scissorhands) and now she has started cutting her own hair. This was an absolute disaster! I got up with Abby at 730 am and watched some cartoons with her. At 900 am I decided to go lay down for a little while because I had to work that night. Well 45 minutes after I did she came into my room and just stood there and looked at me. At first I thought I was dreaming! She managed to find a pair of safety scissors for Kiera's school projects in a drawer in my kitchen and decided to give herself a mullet-style haircut.

Well the cut was awful and I had to take her to great clips to get it fixed. When I walked in the hair stylist said "can I help you?". All I did was lift Abby up so she could see the problem. She responded "Oh my gosh!" I thought you have no idea. So she tried to fix it as best she could. I told Abby she looked like a boy and she said "No mom, I am just a girl with a haircut". Well the scissors are now well hidden. Here are some after pics.

Lesson Learned

Abby really likes to play beauty shop. One day she was combing her hair with this red comb. Somehow she managed to roll the comb up in her bangs. I tried for one hour to get the comb out of her hair. Impossible! So I eventually had to cut the comb out. Abby thought the whole thing was funny. Anyway, here are some pics of the fiasco!
